What size clothes does your 3 yr old article of clothing?

I idea my son was average in 3T clothes at three years onetime only my aunt is saying that'south small for his age. Her daughter is the aforementioned age and moving into 4T and her son who'due south a twelvemonth younger is nigh ready for 3T. My son is in 3T because I moved him upwards but pants are notwithstanding huge on him unless they are sweatpants or have an adjustable waist. I kind of thought the sizes went with the ages no? Is my kid also small? Do I need to fatten him up? He was 36 1/2 inches tall and 32 pounds dorsum in November and his doc didn't say anything.
