How Long Does It Take To Get Used To Invisalign

How long does it take to get used to this?

Just curious. It feels weird. Currently cussing out my dentist mentally. I'm trying to cut my pop habit so I hope this helps haha. But its just so weird right now. Do you ever really get used to it? Eating with the attachments is also weird.

Yeah. It felt really weird and almost wrong for me the first few days—I had immediately panicked because I felt like I couldn't close my jaw all the way to chew after taking my trays out. My teeth felt really sore and subconsciously was babying my teeth/not chewing normally. And I have a few attachments on the outside of my back molars that for the first several days felt very sharp and bulky. I'm only on my second tray of 32 but things have gotten way more familiar and less irritating. Sometimes when I first take out my tray a few teeth feel sore/odd but after a few minutes that feeling goes away. Hope you get some relief soon!

It feels so good when the trays are out haha. The only time I ever have pain really is when I'm trying to take them out or put them back in

It took me about 1-2 weeks to get used to it. The first week was awful.

Its more annoying than anything I feel like. I just do not like this right now. And the dry mouth is killing me lol

I've only drank water with them in lol

I'm on week 22 and they still feel weird to me. I can't stop sucking on my teeth and sometimes I have trouble sleeping because my mouth is watering. I don't regret it, though.

Yea I'm noticing dry mouth and constantly needing water lol

Kroger has soda flavored seltzer water that is clear. I like the Dr Pepper flavored one. It's Kroger brand so it's also not expensive.

It took me about a week or so to stop feeling miserable, it was painful and awkward at first (canker sores from constant cuts, lisping, spitting, trying to learn to eat with attachments). Now I still hate them and find them unpleasant, but it was so bad in the first week or so that I wished I hadn't gotten them.

For me... the first few days of tray one, was terrible. But as time passed, things got easier. With me now being on tray 4, i notice that i only experience some pain/tightness within the first few days of a new tray. After that, its smooth sailing, most times i forget I have them in. I know we will all have different experiences, but I hope this helps.

For me it's 1.5 weeks. The first 1.5 weeks was dreadful. Now it's just mildly annoying. You got this!

Used to the attachments comes pretty quick. Within a week or 2. However you're always going to feel the trays in your mouth, you never totally get used to it. But compared to day 1 I'm 10x more comfortable with them in and talking with them. I'm on month 7

level 2

Theres literally ONE spot in my mouth where the tray bothers me. I dont notice the bottom ones much at all. But it feels like the top one is cutting into the back of my.gum and it's making me nuts
